Roger Dubuis launches a brand new masterpiece at Watches & Wonders Shanghai 2020 - Excalibur Superbia.
The ultimate example of the Maison’s unshakable pride and excess, Excalibur Superbia is crafted in palladium-enriched white gold and set with exactly 600 precious white diamonds and blue sapphires.
Sending it firmly into the hallowed halls of World Premieres, the excessiveness of the Excalibur Superbia comes from the fact that every stone set on the flange, the bezel, the case and the crown is tetrahedron shaped and assembled with an invisible setting on curved surfaces. The hardest way to set a stone, an invisible setting becomes nearly impossible when required on a curved surface.
Simple, straight and utterly frank , the lines of this exceptional piece of artistry are strongly reminiscent of the spatial art forms favoured by interior design artist KAZ SHIRANE.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®: Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, Rosewood
London and Rosewood Bangkok
Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel - Timeless Parisian landmark hotel begins a new chapter
in its history
Fronted by the majestic architecture of Ange-Jacques Gabriel, Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel faces the
spectacular Place de la Concorde, one of the most beautiful city-squares in the world. In keeping with RosewoodHotels & Resorts’ concept in which each property reflects its location’s history, culture and sensibilities, Hôtel de Crillon’s design has been reinterpreted through the collective work of leading architects, designers, artisans, and artists.
History has been brought to life with a fresh and modern twist, while beloved and unique objects emblematic
to the hotel’s history can still be found throughout the property. Architect Richard Martinet
led the whole restoration and renovation of Hôtel de Crillon including the landmark façade and grand reception rooms on the second floor, which are classified heritage landmarks. Under the Artistic Director Aline Asmar d’Amman insured the coherence of the whole design project, and drove and inspired the interior designers, the hotel’s interiors were created by four Paris-based designers: Tristan Auer, Chahan Minassian, Cyril Vergniol and Aline Asmar d’Amman (Culture in Architecture). The approach was to respect history, while simultaneously
injecting a modern attitude and a touch of Parisian irreverence. Karl Lagerfeld, renowned designer and a great
18th century admirer, has decorated two exceptional suites on Place de la Concorde and together called "Les
Grands Appartements.", which convey his personal vision of French chic and modernity. Landscape architect Louis Benech, with his subtle hand, conceived Hôtel de Crillon’s whimsical courtyards.
With its prestigious address and reputation for exquisite hospitality à la française, Hôtel de Crillon has attracted
royalty, heads of state and celebrities over the course of its storied history. The hotel features 124 guestrooms and suites; four restaurants; Sense, A Rosewood Spa; a newly created swimming pool; three heritage landmark
salons for meetings and functions, and more.

Rosewood London is designed to be one of the most exciting places to drink and dine in London. The Lobby Lounge, a public meeting space, is the window into the stylish world of Rosewood London and the Mirror Room, a striking salon elegantly adorned with mirrors, offers appealing and social all-day dining and afternoon tea. Rosewood Bangkok - Reshaping Bangkok’s Skyline
Rosewood Bangkok, a striking new landmark for the capital, has opened as an intimate, ultra-luxury hotel on
Ploenchit Road in heart of the city’s prime central business and retail district in 2019. Rosewood’s A Sense of
Place® philosophy is exuberantly expressed with a design that honours rich Thai culture while celebrating the cutting-edge creativity and contemporary design ethos of the dynamic capital. The silhouette of the 30-storey
standalone property is a dramatic addition to the Bangkok skyline. Two graceful, connected structures have been masterfully combined to create a new icon for the capital. The building’s form is inspired by the wai -- the charming Thai gesture of hands pressed together in greeting – and is itself an expression of the Thai capital’s
growing influence as a design, fashion and creative hub in the region.
The hotel has been designed to create a sense of intimacy and privacy throughout the entire guest journey; the brand’s signature blend of stylish comfort and inspired design is delivered by a décor of rich materials and
finishes in a soothing, neutral colour palette. In addition to the structure’s glossy façade and stunning architecture, water features within the hotel -- including a dramatic, indoor 10-story waterfall -- are a tribute to Bangkok, a city built on water. The element of water -- sacred in Thai culture, featuring in rites and rituals to
symbolize peace and harmony -- is a pervasive theme throughout the hotel.
The hotel also showcases works of established and emerging Thai artists including significant pieces by Preecha Thaothong, named Thailand's National Artist of the Year 2009; Pinaree Sanpitak, one of the country’s most respected female artists of her generation; and Torlarp Larpjaroensook, whose work both challenges and intrigues. The hotel’s “Art Connection” quarterly rotating exhibit features the multi-media works of emerging
Thai artists, launching with a showcase of oil paintings by Kittaya Poolsawatdi.
The ultra-luxury hotel embraces a striking, contemporary architectural design and is home to 159 guestrooms. In an inspired expression of the brand’s A Sense of Place® philosophy, carefully curated interiors, dining, and spa experiences are an amalgam of contemporary sophistication and a modern showcase of Thailand’s rich
Sense, A Rosewood Spa is a sanctuary of simplicity and purity that embraces traditional Thai healing practices paired with natural ingredients that are sustainably cultivated. This is reflected in signature treatments that are based on Thailand’s time-honored “lost remedies” tailored for health and beauty.
