Four Bites integrates all elements skillfully in terms of design, aiming to participate in spread the seed of art to the mass population by changing the preconception of both the norm of art and gallery space in the local people’s minds, exploring their own attitude towards life, such as organizing Popup-mini exhibitions regularly, providing a breathing space for the hustle life. With spring approaching, Four Bites launches Seasonal Menu-Spring. Various spring recipes go well with craft beers and hand drip coffee. The first restaurant of Four Bites was officially opened at IFC, bringing an experiment about urban dining experience for their guests. Four Bites Brand Concept There is no definition of Four Bites, offering people a lots of room for thinking and imagination. Everyone can be inspired by the atmosphere in Four Bites here and look for inspiration for their lives. Four Bites, the name comes from four dimensions of satiation: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The ingenious combination of food, design of the resturant, music, art space and atmosphere allows diners to satisfy the needs of “Four Bites" from five senses, thus feeling fruitful and fulfilling, happy and healthy during the culinary experience. Four Bites Special Delicacies "Four Bites" uses fresh and healthy ingredients, the chefs here cook attentively in exquisite way. They wish diners can feel full and happy after enjoying the cuisine. "Seafood Noodle with Wild Red Mushroom" is a must-eat dish. The spirit of the noodles is the delicious fresh soup base while wild red mushrooms bring out the scent of mushrooms among mountains and forests. The noodles are freshly made, they goes well with thick soup. Wild red mushrooms are good at nourish the lungs and suitable for healthy diners. Seasonal Menu - Spring Four Bites launches various seasonal spring dishes and introduces Seasonal Menu -Spring, it includes various spring dishes such as “Pan Fried Yellow Croaker”, “Bean Sprouts Salad” and “Steamed Clams”. Pan Fried Yellow Croaker”, the dish smells good by adding few drops of cooking wine after pan-frying. The batter protects the fish from the direct heat of the oil, so the flesh cooks gently, keeping the fish moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Served with soy bean sauce, as the dipping sauce will enhance the flavor of meat. “Steamed Clams”, fresh clams we buy everyday from the market, they taste fresh and pure. Scrub and remove the sand from clams’ stomachs. Add clams, oil, scallion, sliced ginger and cook, until fragrant. Add water and cook until the shells of clams have opened. Sprinkle cooking wine before turn off the heat. Finally, salt brings out the freshness and sweetness of clams. Both clams and the soup delicious. Beer and food is the perfect match. “Gimlet in Berlin” of “Travelling Berliner Series" is delicately selected. This classic German sour beer is from Young Master Ales Brewery, an internationally renowned Hong Kong craft beer brand, dressing up classic German sour beer into a classic cocktail. Infused with juniper berries, fresh basil and lime, "Gimlet in Berlin" evokes key elements of its namesake cocktail and bring out tart, zesty and refreshing flavors. No doubt “Gimlet in Berlin” and the selected spring recipes are mainly light, they taste each other, make the food more refreshing. Exquisite Afternoon Tea Four Bites launches an exquisite afternoon tea during spring, using seasonal ingredients for bakery. “Keemun Red Date Friand” is one of the signature pastries, simple, rustic, home-style cakes with an Asian fineness and touch. Incorporating elements of tea in our pastries, the combination is definitely innovative. Red dates are sweet, they are used for balancing the Qi and blood for the body and smooth the stomach. All ingredients and cakes are freshly baked every day. Diners can spend a relaxing afternoon with our hand brewing coffee and exquisite pastries. Special recommendations of single origin beans are roasted from a tiny micro-roastery in Peng Chau, Caau Dau. Both beans are processed with natural method. One is from Indonesia Bali with fried berry and winey taste, a dark chocolate finish. The other is from Nicaragua with cacao butter and coca taste, a finish of sesame. Both beans are rich and flavourful. Coffee is hand-brewed and cold-brewed to give diners a sense of the original taste of the beans and the unique personal style of the barista. Four Bites also delicately selected Serax Dé Tableware by Ann Demeulemeester, Ann is a well-known Belgian fashion designer and Dé collection serves as the restaurant's representative cutlery. The unique design elements allow diners to experience a combination of color and fragrance dining aesthetic. In parallel to the brand philosophy, the narrow boxy space was divided into 3 key zones, being engaged with inspirations at the pop-up mini art space where a journey of cultural mixture will start. The staff workwear and shoes are in neutral craftsman style. Our Staff can mix and match personally which allow diners to experience the attitude of Four Bites. In the hope of slowing down diners pace and rhythm, we placed a caudex and selected Lo-fi music as background soundtrack. Popup-mini Exhibition Pop-up mini is an integration of lifestyle, design, art and culture with F&B space, changing the preconception of both the norm of art and gallery space in the local people’s mind. Four Bites aims to integrate local and foreign art and culture into our restaurant, inviting designers, artists and multicultural creators to set up exhibitions on different themes. We love to share all these from time to time, so that our guests can experience the dining and other elements of art, design and life. Eugenia Mann, New Local Ceramic Artist – Artistic Life Utensils From now until 19 April, the exhibition features the handicrafts of the new local artist Eugenia Mann. Eugenia is co-founder of a local brand, Sowtale. Clay is the main media from Eugenia’s practice, all works are hand-crafted, and most of her works are in organic shapes and forms. The theme of Popup-mini exhibition is “The Unevens”, it includes certain series of work by Mann, including ”The Leaves” - a series depicting fallen leaves in red clay, “Flows” - a series of floral wares inspired by stonewalls and “Night Lights” - a series of hand-built pendant lamps with texture inspired by plants. Eugenia Mann’s works commemorate the curves, textures and forms inspired by plants and nature. “Uneven" declares the emphasis of the artist’s aesthetic point of view. “Life is Art” is another strong belief of Mann. She often comprises her artistic view in daily wares. Works included in the exhibition express distinct approaches in depicting the “Natural Inspiration” of Mann, also celebrating the uniqueness brought by each clay. Works of Eugenia Mann seem to be able to speak, each piece of work tells different life attitudes and stories, conveying diverse life inspiration to guests, encouraging people bring calm to their daily life or create your own life rhythm through her works. The experimental spirit speaks the mind of Eugenia Mann, who appraises new ways to express her mind by using clay, these includes a lot of experimental creations, which are exactly in line the spirit of Four Bites.
